America Calls by Walter T. Wesley

“America Calls”©

Created by W. T. Wesley

As the road rises to meet you

And the wind blows back your hair.

Remember the place you are in now

Isn’t the only life you can share!

For you are Freedom’s Warriors

     The last of a vanishing breed;

The Spirit of Hope is in your veins

     As you walk the land,

           YOU ARE TRULY FREE!

From Shore to Shore you have traveled,

The Good and the Bad you did see.

In this land called “America”

     You are the EAGLE,

           Soaring high and free!

In times of War, and in times of Peace

     You have been there when there is need;

America has not forgotten you

For you are the Sons and Daughters of Liberty!

You have been born in every situation

From all over America, you have come.

The age of your youth has come or is past,

Still your Spirit has always won.

Darkness is settling on our land,

The strength of this evil is undefined.

This evil wants our children’s future,

Silence our voice, and destroy our kind.

America is calling you today,

Arise, stand up and sound the Alarm!

Brothers and Sisters of Liberty,

Our Society is facing great harm.

Like an Eagle shelters her young

We must be free to guide and defend.

Uncover the evil that you see,

Be a force for Good, as we stand!

Remember Our Freedom is a Gift,

Blood was shed to set us free.

The children will stand or fall

We must show them, what Freedom can be!

Brothers and Sisters of Liberty,

America needs your strength, and care.

It is time to spread the Truth,

For Freedom is not caught but shared!
