Why Bluff City

Photo of Memphis skylineFor those of us not familiar with beautiful Memphis, Tennessee, the city is located at the confluence of the Wolf and Mississippi rivers in the southwest corner of Tennessee. The bluffs protect the city from flooding, hence the nickname of name "Bluff City."
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 33,463 military veterans lived in Memphis in 2015. The state of Tennessee was home to 462,414 military veterans.
And judging by the photos from the 2016 Veterans Day programs (day and night shifts), at least 100 military veterans continue their service to our country at the Memphis campus of Internal Revenue Service.
And, most importantly, the MOS Bluff City Chapter, based in Memphis, formally began on February 20, 2017, with 27 members, living across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
