First Annual MOS Training Conference
Yes, the MOS is just forming and already plans are in work to host the First Annual MOS Training Conference.  A team of hard working volunteers has already started the process.  What are your thoughts?  What type of training on what type of topics would you like to receive?  Give your ideas and thoughts today!

Hmmm, I for one would love to discuss advancement opportunities within the IRS.  I want to know what departments I can go to and what jobs are available from Secretary all the way up to the Head Honcho.  Maybe we could also include some training on applying for other positions and all the forms required to do so.  I think another thing we might need, since we are all veterans, is training on veteran's preferance and the VA.  Just some thoughts.

I'd like to see some training classes on issues like transfering service credit from our military service to civilian and possibly the sociological transition from the military way of life to the civilian sytle.  In the military there is lots of accountablity and the "get it done" attitude but now theres lots of 'it'll get done when it gets done" frame of mind.

Allen,

This is an update to my previously posted response which I am editing.  First I strongly recommend our first conference be in the DC are so we can invite the Commissioner (s) and  other key executives.

Several topics come to mind for our first Annual Conference, i.e., our Mentoring program, Teamwork, outreach, updates on crosswalking military Leadership core competencies with the IRS' and training training received in the military that parallels leadership training in the IRS for Senior leadership in the IRS AND Networking.
