MOS Benefits from Holtsville Fundraiser

The organizer of the Massachusetts chapter, Maureen Higgins, reported that Military Outreach for Service was a beneficiary of a local fundraiser.
On June 20, 2014, the IRS employee organizations with chapters in Holtsville, NY -- MOS - Massachusetts Chapter, Association for the Improvement of Minorities (AIM-IRS), Christian Fundamentalists - Internal Revenue Employees (C-FIRE), Hispanic Internal Revenue Employees (HIRE), and Federally Employed Women (FEW) -- united to conduct a fundraiser. The event was called "Lead by Laughter" and involved a presentation given by an Employee Assistance Program counselor followed by three amateur comedians. The organizations conducted a 50/50 raffle that included many gift baskets. In a "50/50" raffle, there are two winners: the pot from the raffle tickets is split between an individual winner and the organization raising money. Over 100 employees attended and a great time was had by all.
