Allen LichtenwalnerFormer MOS president Allen Lichtenwalner, Jr., has found a new way to help veterans. Allen, who left the IRS after 10 years to develop a farm with his wife, now actively promotes farming opportunities for military veterans. He is featured in the May 14, 2014 edition of Ohio's Country Journal for his work as an ambassador for the Farmer Veteran Coalition. He counsels veterans interested in the agriculture industry and has employed a couple of returning veterans interested in farm employment.
 
He and his wife Dawn own Dandelion Lane Farm in Leetonia, Ohio where they've raise chickens with attitudes, ducks, and pigs and create produce for local farmers markets.
 
Allen served three terms as MOS president beginning in 2008 and returned to MOS leadership as vice president in 2013 before he left to tend to his farming business full time.
