MOS Member Selected as local Military Spouse of the Year

Pamela M. McBride, co-president of the Peachtree Patriots Chapter of MOS in Atlanta, was voted the 2013 Military Spouse of the Year for Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Pamela’s nomination was based on her being instrumental in helping the IRS implement a veteran intern program in response to President Obama’s Executive Order 13518, Employment of Veterans in Federal Government, and her extensive professional and personal experience in that arena.
Pamela goes on to round two of Military Spouse magazine's Military Spouse of the Year contest where the public votes for military branch winners. Installation winners advance to the branch round. The vote is on February 5, 2013.
The branch level voting leads to the selection of six Spouses of the Year (SOYs): Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, and National Guard. The national winner is selected based on the highest combined score derived from both the popular vote and judges' panel.
Pamela is no stranger to military honors. In 2008, she received the Patriotic Civilian Service award from the 3rd Infantry Division Commander. Pamela plans to continue using every possible opportunity to increase the awareness of and improve veteran and military spouse employment on a national level. She has been dedicated to this cause during her entire 23 years as an Army wife.
